not culture nor tradition, nor an ideological stand
It is an Identity… that you and I proudly wear,
ingrained in our minds, always aware,
The tricolor, the emblem, anthems and slogans,
are worth more than fighting for, they are worth, peace,
but you still need to fight, the fight is within,
why compare, who is where, your place has never been,
if you still see poverty, illiteracy, denied rights, hypocrisy,
reaching mars, growing cities, more fulfilling democracy,
of beauty be proud of, of beauty you show off,
if dirty let’s clean up, change ourselves where needed
it is happening all around us, filthy, healthy, guilty or pretty
yet it is all that matter for us, for it is, our true Identity.
